Field of Texas
Bluebonnets
Scientifically named
Lupinus texensis, the
bluebonnet is also
called buffalo clover,
wolf flower, and (by the
Mexicans) el conejo. It
was adopted as the
official state flower by
the Texas Legislature in
1901.

Named for its color and, it is said, the resemblance of its petal to a woman's sunbonnet, the bluebonnet is the state flower of Texas. It blooms in the early spring and can be readily found in fields and along the roadsides throughout central and south Texas.

And the earth brought forth grass, and
herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed
was in itself, and his kind: and God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:12
And Eastman brought forth the
camera-a descendant of which I used to capture the beauty of God's work
Texas. I made a little show of this work which I call Texas
Wildflowers. Sit back and enjoy the show and let me know what you
think. Thanks for the visit.
The Cameras Used are Sony CD-Mavica And Nikon MP-55 |
